How does manual therapy work?
Manual therapy goes beyond a simple massage or cupping treatment. Our therapists are certified to perform joint mobilization and manipulation techniques that targets your underlying movement restrictions before addressing soft tissue like muscle and nerves—so you can restore your range of motion safely and for the long haul.

Nope! We wouldn’t offer it if it was dangerous. The force we apply when manipulating joints is not enough to damage joints or soft tissue.
It can cause soreness that can last for 24 to 48 hours. If you suffer from chronic pain that’s triggered by touch, we’ll proceed carefully and with your consent to make sure treatment doesn’t overwhelm you.
Absolutely. As long as you can exercise safely with your injury or condition, we encourage you to continue pursuing the activities you love.
While we strongly recommend manual therapy for certain patients, we never require it. It’s often the best way to address pain for the long term as we’re able to target the root cause of your pain instead of simply addressing symptoms. If you’re uncomfortable with manual therapy for any reason, we’re happy to answer your questions and suggest alternative treatment options.
